At Russ Cook & Associates, PC, we lead free seminars in order to share our expertise with our clients, colleagues, and the community. In addition to conducting in-house seminars, we travel throughout Middle Tennessee providing seminars that are eligible for Continuing Education credits to certified financial planners and attorneys.

Seminars Tailored To Certified Financial Planners

Free seminars are held for certified financial planners (CFPs) on a frequent basis. If you are a CFP, you may contact us directly to schedule a seminar in your office, or you may do so through the CFP Board in Nashville.

Seminars we’re offering in 2017:

  • Tennessee Asset Protection Planning. The seminar focuses on asset protection planning for Tennessee residents and the planning documents available to help with a client’s asset protection planning goals.

  • Types, Features, and Taxation of Trusts. The seminar focuses on the various types of trusts and their features. Also presented is the basic income taxation of trusts.

  • Tennessee Probate Administration. The seminar answers some of the more common questions asked concerning the probate of an estate in Tennessee.

  • Special Needs Trust Planning. The seminar focuses on special needs trusts available to provide supplemental income to special needs beneficiaries qualifying for means tested government aid.

  • Planning for an Elderly Client’s Diminished Capacity. The seminar focuses on the problem of diminished capacity for an elderly client and the various types and features of legal documents available to handle diminished capacity. Also discussed are the "pros" and "cons" of organ donation.

  • Planning for Unmarried and Remarried Couples. The seminar focuses on planning for unmarried and remarried clients and the various types and features of legal documents available to handle issues specific to the needs of this type of client.
