We offer start-to-finish services for your business

Like human beings and animals, most businesses have a cycle in which they are formed, experience some growth, and then, in anywhere from a few months to decades or longer, die out through closure, absorption in to another business or some other action that ends the business as people know it.

Our law office offers start-to-finish care for our clients' businesses, as we recognize that being on solid legal ground at all stages of a business's cycle is often the key to success for the business and, by extension, to profit for the business owners.

For those who have a good idea and are ready to get started with a business, we help them choose the right type of business entity for them and prepare the necessary documents to accomplish that goal. Along with actually forming an entity, our office helps a business with partnership agreements, operating agreements, bylaws and other documents that are necessary to help a business get off the ground in a well-organized fashion.

Businesses are expected to make periodic regulatory filings, and we provide that service to our clients as well. We also can stay on standby for our business clients, particularly those without the resources to hire an in-house attorney, in the even that they have any legal questions about employment issues, a business acquisition or any other issue involving their operations. We also assist with preparing contracts and other documents at key moments of a business's life.

As time goes on, we also help a business plan for an end to its life. For example, we can help family businesses come up with a succession plan, as what to do when a key owner is no longer able to work can be hard to figure out on the fly. Finally, should a business have to close, we help our clients prepare buy-outs and other agreements between former business partners.
